Really nice place. Fantastic wait staff that we routinely over-tip because, well, their service is just worth it. Fair menu with good prices, the soup and salad bar is always fresh and delicious. We sample different things from the menu every time we visit. Highly recommend the fish and their mushroom burger!

Not bad soup, and I always seem to find something on the day's specials that I like.

Charlie's Family Dining (formerly Leon's Family restaurant, still owned by the same family) is an outstanding place to eat. My family and I have been eating at this restaurant for over 15 years! It's local, the prices are reasonable, the food is great, and the service is even better! We love that the owners are usually always present and they always seem to remember their customers. Even the wait staff remember customers by name. We always feel very welcome and because of that, we always tip very well while we dine here! Most meals come with their wonderful soup bar and they always have a great selection of soups to choose from. They also offer a breakfast bar which is well worth the price! And on top of that, you don't have to eat the scrambled eggs on the breakfast bar, you can order your eggs any way you like them, along with any kind of toast you want. This is definitely one of our top favorite restaurants in the local community and we would highly recommend it to anyone!

Use to go here many moons ago with the family as a child when it was Leon's Family Dining and part of the Leons chain. Now it's Charlies. The prices are decent. The Soups are AMAZING, and it's one of the few places that still offer a Soup bar (that's never ending). Plus, for under 10 dollars, you get the dinner, and you get salad, and the never ending soup bar. They have great lunch specials too. Weekends have a great Breakfast bar as well that I enjoy. The only thing i really dislike is how they cook their omelettes. Being a former breakfast cook, I'm a stickler for breakfast food being cooked correctly. Lately, the hubby and I have just being go for breakfast (I like the skillets) but i plan on going back for the soup bar now that i know they still serve beef barley on thursdays. The menu is pretty expansive too.

This place is okay. My husband and I went one morning to try out breakfast. The place was packed so we thought, 'Hmm, good food?' Our breakfast was so-so...my scrambled eggs were hard, had no moisture in them at all, both our servings of hash brown potatoes were burned (my husband always hates when the kitchens in the area restaurants keep their fire up too high.) Anyway, we gave this place the benefit of the doubt and went back another day to have lunch and haven't returned.. I ordered the spinach pie (I love spinach and in no way have any allergic reaction to it) and about an hour later I was very sick...we were out shopping for the day and I had to find public bathrooms wherever I went...no need to say more about that... The other thing that bothered us...since we asked to be seated at a table, we were put in the back of the restaurant. That's where all the tables are. We found out that's where most Senior folk congregate to yack....they yack and yack and do so quite LOUDLY. I know why, because most of them can't hear...but some of the conversations were not that great to have to listen to..but, sadly, the Seniors there don't seem to realize that some subjects, well not for restaurants, the men cussing and so on...It spoiled our enjoyment of eating our meal. I guess we'll be going back to Ram's Horn and Big Boy for our breakfasts. The ONLY good thing my husband found about the place was the price for our meals was around $15, cheaper than Big Boy or Ram's Horn.
